James is a is a solicitor specialising in residential and commercial real estate transactions.

He studied Physics at Kings College London before obtaining a Masters in the management of intellectual property at Queen Mary University. Upon leaving university James entered the family business and worked as an Estate Agent in Paddington and Notting Hill areas of west central London dealing with both the sale, letting and management of residential properties. After 10 years in the property industry James followed up on his interest in the legal side of residential property and retrained as a lawyer, joining Cruickshanks in 2016 and then Burlingtons in 2026.

His prior practical experience has given James a more dynamic approach to the conveyancing process with immediate identifiable benefits to his clients. He has significant experience in both new build and second hand transactions including dealing with urgent and complex mortgaging arrangements.
