Dubai-based property developer Damac has signed a £200m contract with Lendlease to deliver its first UK project, AYKON in Nine Elms.
The AYKON London One will be one of London’s tallest residential buildings when it is completed in 2020. It sits in Nine Elms, on the south bank of the River Thames, which includes the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station. With an investment totalling £645m, the project will include around 450 units and a 50 storey tower together with affordable housing, offices and retail space.
DAMAC Properties was established in 2002, as a private residential, leisure and commercial developer in Dubai and the Middle East. The Company, today listed with a market capitalisation of just under £3billion, has since expanded into North Africa, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar and Saudi Arabia and has delivered in excess of 15,800 units since its inception.
