April numbers issued by the Land Registry show a record month for property prices throughout the UK particularly London with the latter showing a staggering increase of 4.2% over the previous month. As we mentioned in our previous report, the above average performance of the London property market is being largely driven by Boroughs such as Waltham Forest, Lambeth and Hackney that have seen annual price increases of 26.2%, 23.8% and 21.50% respectively. Prime Central London has also maintained a steady growth path with property prices in the RBKC and in the City of Westminster increasing by 1.5% and 2.0% over March 2014.
