Earlier today, Lonres (the London based property research firm) issued some interesting data about property trends in Chelsea. The following are some interesting statistics:
· There was a 43% increase in property prices over the last five years
· The average £ per square foot for flats is £1,768 and for houses is £2,044
· 40% of properties achieve a sale price of £2m or more
· 75% of all sales were flats
· 74% of owner occupiers own their property outright (without a mortgage)
· 50% of residents were born overseas
· 1 in 5 residents walk to work
· 38% of households are occupied by one person
