The redevelopment of Hyde Park Barracks (the base of the Household Cavalry) is back on the table after a recent announcement by the Ministry of Defense.
“Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) has completed an Enquiry by Design activity and developed a number of options and now wishes to engage with the widest possible Industry network to keep communication open. DIO aims to provide an update, an opportunity to test/challenge assumptions/constraints/potential solutions and a forum for Industry to suggest innovative alternatives”, the statement read.
Estimates have put the current value of the site at between £500m and £650m with a potential end value of up to £2 billion.
