London Retains Spot as World’s Top Financial Centre

London has retained its place as the world’s leading financial centre, according to the 22nd Global Financial Centres Index (by Z/Yen Partners & China Development Institute). New York remains in second place, and Hong Kong in third. Singapore dropped a place to fourth, and Tokyo stayed in fifth place. London did very well in the ratings ranking ahead of its competitors in the five areas of competitiveness namely, Human Capital, Business Environment, Infrastructure, Financial Sector Development and Reputation.
